I was raised in Louisiana to hard-working parents who were both in ministry. My dad had a bad spiritual and moral fall and left our family, so we were raised by my mom. Started drugs at age 11, and continued on that path for a long time. My dad ended up dying with a needle in his arm in 96, and I would soon try my 7th attempt to get help.
I had violated my probation, and the judge ordered me to complete Teen Challenge. I met Jesus Christ and fell in love with Him. He changed the way I thought about things, and always had me craving more of Him. I met my husband at TC, we married 17 years ago, and have 2 great boys, Sam and Sawyer.

First impress of the Hoving Home?
I was definitely most impressed with the history of the home. I’ve been with Alabama Teen Challenge since 1997, and I’ve always heard about the sterling reputation of the Hoving Home.
Favorite ministry memory?
I will never forget when a young lady came to me after reading 2 Corinthians 5:17, and with tears streaming down her face, she said “That’s me! I’m new!” The Word became alive right at that moment, and she was never the same. There are really too many to write only one! I’ve had the privilege of seeing so many miracles over the past 20 years, and I look forward to so many more!
What are you looking forward to in the next year?
I’m excited about a new challenge and look forward to working with a great Hoving Home team to see lives changed. Also building new relationships with like-minded people.
