Every day I am amazed at what the Lord has done! I am consistently and thoroughly in awe that I get to be apart of this wonderful Ministry, and to witness lives being transformed daily. This has been a long time coming though, and the process, very painful.
All my life I made extremely bad choices and exhibited little or no self-control. These decisions led to a life of drug addiction, prisons and street life for 25+ years. While I was in prison on what would turn out to be my last stint, I had a supernatural encounter with Christ and He changed my life!
But there was work to be done. I had not held a job for all those years nor had I been a productive part of society. Enter in The Hoving Home. Through the Home I was able to reenter society as a Christian woman and I learned that all the pain and trials I had suffered would be used for Gods glory if I would allow it.
Today my life is a testimony to Christ’s faithfulness and grace. I am the Principal and Volunteer Coordinator of the New York Home, I have a close relationship with my family whom I was estranged from all those years. My family’s faith has been ignited in Jesus as they have witnessed firsthand what He did for me.
For we are Gods handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10)
