OverviewLioness and the Lamb Women and Children’s Home is a one year long, faith based, residential recovery program for both pregnant women and women with 1 or 2 children up to pre-school age. The mission of the program is to offer a safe, stable and loving home environment to both women and their children without separation from one another. The program will introduce both the mother and her little ones to a holistic model of healing centered around a faith in God and leading them into a new life with a promising future.

Entry/Admission Steps: Every admission inquiry begins with an initial phone interview with a program staff member and the submission of the resident application. Once the application is received, the next step is an in-person interview on campus with the Center Director. Following this final interview, acceptance will be determined and if invited, the mother will be given an entry date. If the applicant is not local, the second interview will take place over the telephone and she will receive a tour on the entry date provided by the program. FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) for Women and Children Programs

 Is a Government Issued Photo ID required?

Yes, you must provide a government issued photo ID prior to entry into the home and you must have your child’s birth certificate as well.

 What if I have legal issues?

All legal issues must be disclosed to the program prior to entry, both current and prior. The Program Director will make all final decisions in regard to entrance with existing legal issues.

Can I smoke in the program?

No, we are a nicotine free facility. Neither vaping nor cigarettes are permitted.

Am I allowed to be employed during the program?

You are not able to work while in program, but you will receive assistance in building your resume, career readiness programming and work training all for the goal of re-entry success.

Are cell phones permitted?

No, you are permitted one ten-minute phone call M-Th and one fifteen-minute call F-Sun on our shared land line. You are allowed access to your cellular device upon entering your last phase of the program for the purpose of re-entry.

How long is the program and what happens when I am finished?

The program is twelve months in length and upon completion a resident can decide to enter transitional housing, enter the Emerging Leaders program for apprenticeship within the organization or return home if there is a healthy support system available to them.

What ages of the children does the home serve?

The home permits children up to school age but reviews each family application and situation on a case-to-case basis.

Where will my children be while I am doing the program?

The children participate in Christian childcare during your program.

How many children may I bring into the program?

The program permits up to two children but reviews each family situation on a case-to-case basis.
