A volunteer is defined as a person who voluntarily offers himself or herself for a service. They perform the service willingly and without pay. The Hoving Home considers the role of volunteers to be priceless and cannot consider ourselves successful without the help of its volunteers.

The Hoving Home, founded in 1967, values the contribution that the volunteers make to the vision of rebuilding women’s shattered lives. Over the past 50 years, volunteers have been an essential component of the loving and safe environment that is offered at the home. The influence of volunteers has and continues to impact the women’s lives from the East to the West Coast.

From teaching Bible studies and classes to tutoring one on one and praying with the women, volunteers are a key component of the healing process for our women. They donate their time and talents and daily exemplify what it looks like to live by Christian Principles in today’s society.
