Program Manager
New York Leadership

My journey to recovery began in 2015, but real transformation did not take place until 2020, when I had a genuine and personal encounter with the Lord at Long Island Teen Challenge. Before that, I was trying to do life on my own terms, holding tightly to pride and the things of the world, refusing to fully surrender. Even when I felt the Lord calling me to California, I resisted, convinced that I could manage on my own. I returned home, got a job, and on the surface, everything seemed to be going well, until I passed my very first drug test ever.

In a twisted moment of celebration, I used fentanyl and overdosed for the first and last time. After surviving, I attempted to overdose again, but the Lord intervened. In that moment of complete brokenness, I finally surrendered my life and entered the doors of Teen Challenge of Southern California. That decision changed everything.

Today, I am clean, focused, and walking in the purpose God has set before me. I truly believe we can only keep what we have by giving it away, and my recovery is not just for me, it is for the countless others who need to know that healing is possible.

Faith has been the foundation of my recovery. I am here only because of the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ. Through every high and low, His presence has sustained me. My story is a testimony to His power to redeem, restore, and transform, and I look forward to continuing this walk with the Lord while helping others experience the same freedom I have found.
