Kathi is the Chief Financial Officer of Hoving Home and Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Directors.
Kathi first came to Hoving Home as a financial consultant in 2018 and joined the organization as the CFO in 2020. She has a heart for the ministry and the ladies it serves, and feels it is an honor to serve the Lord at Hoving Home and be a part of the leadership team.
Kathi started her career in public accounting and has more than 20 years of experience, including serving as a partner of two “big four” accounting firms – KPMG LLP and Deloitte – where she focused on international tax and business consulting. She gained extensive experience serving clients across a wide range of industries and geographies over the years, working in New York City, Denver, Sydney (Australia), and Calgary (Canada).
Kathi left public accounting to serve organizations in the nonprofit sector – providing financial and related consulting services to small and medium-sized nonprofits. She also has over 20 years of experience serving nonprofits in various roles such as CFO, business consultant, executive director, board member, treasurer, and administrator.
Kathi received her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta (Canada) and Masters of Taxation degree from the University of Denver. She is a Certified Public Accountant (USA) with the AICPA Not-for-Profit Certificates I & II. Kathi was also a Chartered Professional Accountant (Canada) for many years.
Kathi is married and has a 23-year-old daughter. Her husband, Dave, is the CFO/CDO of an international ministry serving the ultra-poor and serves on many Boards of faith-based nonprofit organizations.
