I was born and raised in Brooklyn NY. I came from an Italian immigrant family. I had a wonderful family but as a teenager I was introduced to heroin. I believe I became an addict the very first time I tried it because I loved the way it made me feel. I got married at the age of 21 and had three children. My husband was also an addict and we wound up using drugs together. I thought that since I managed to get up and go to work every day and I maintained a home and had a successful business that I was fine. In 2017 I lost my first born and only son to an overdose at the age of 29. My life went to heck after that.  I didn’t care if I lived or died. Five years later in lost my husband of 35 years also to an overdose. I lost my will to live and overdosed right behind him. I was found and entered the Hoving Home a week later. It was there that I learned how to grieve properly and that my life has purpose. Today I have a wonderful relationship with both my daughters and am the proud grandma to 2 beautiful boys with a third on the way.

Favorite Scripture: 2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, who are called my by name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sins and will heal their land.
