I am a proud New Jersey native with a rich and diverse background, having lived in both New York and New Orleans. I worked as a seasoned makeup artist in the film industry, where my creativity and keen eye for detail made me an asset to any production. I had the privilege of transforming actors’ appearances and contributing to the magic that happens behind the scenes.
Yet behind the outward success, I was fighting quiet and painful battles with depression rooted in childhood experiences. In an attempt to cope with overwhelming emotions, I turned to drugs and alcohol, hoping to numb the pain. What began as an escape eventually led to devastating consequences.
Despite my professional achievements, addiction took a heavy toll on my personal life. I experienced profound losses, including the heartbreaking estrangement from my daughter. At my lowest point, I lost everything—my career, my relationships, and my sense of self.
My turning point came when my brother brought me to the Hoving Home. It was there that I found the strength to begin healing. Through support, faith, and perseverance, I slowly started to rebuild my life.
Today, I work as a staff member at the Hoving Home, sharing the hope that I have found with others who are walking a similar path. While I continue to rebuild broken relationships and seek peace, my story stands as a testament to resilience. Even after hitting rock bottom, healing and redemption are always possible
