was born in Bakersfield, California, and raised in South Central Los Angeles. As the oldest of 17 children, responsibility became a part of my life at an early age. Today, I am also blessed to be the mother of three beautiful children of my own.

For more than 30 years, I struggled with seasonal depression and deep anger toward myself, rooted in the pain of verbal, mental, and physical abuse. There were seasons when the weight of it all felt unbearable. In October 2023, I reached my lowest point. I found myself waking up each morning feeling disappointed that I had opened my eyes, overwhelmed by loneliness and hopelessness.

That was the moment I knew something had to change.

I made the decision to return to church, searching for peace and direction. It was there that God placed a complete stranger in my path — someone who would ultimately guide me to the Hoving Home. What felt like a chance encounter became a turning point in my life, opening the door to healing, restoration, and hope.
